The Hygienitech System uses the Spectrum of Light to eradicate the dust mites. UV-C light is not only germicidal, it is an extremely low-grade ultra-violet radiation that targets and deactivates the DNA of dust mites and other microorganisms, destroying their ability to multiply and cause disease. Specifically, UV-C light causes damage to the nucleic acid of microorganisms by forming covalent bonds between certain adjacent bases in the DNA. The formation of such bonds prevent the DNA from being unzipped for replication, and the organism is unable to reproduce. In fact, when the organism tries to replicate, it dies.

Typical Service Appointment Expectations

• By agreeing to us coming into your home and servicing your bed(s) you agree to accept all risk associated with the service and will not hold us liable for any minor cosmetic damage that may occur.

• Two Hygienitech Service Personnel will arrive at the scheduled time.

• You will have prepared your mattress(es) for the cleaning by removing sheets, blankets, mattress covers, etc.

• The Hygienitech Service will be preformed on the mattress(es) as agreed to when the appointment was set up.

• You will pay for the service, and hopefully feel the benefits of removing the dust mites from your mattress(es) and pillow(s).

Cost Expectations

• The Typical price is $100 for the first mattress and includes sanitizing 2 pillows.

• Additional mattresses can be added at a discounted price if they are serviced at the same location during the same appointment. ($50/King, $45/Queen, $40/Full, $30/Twin.)

• Other items can be included to the services call including body pillows, couches, chairs, rugs, drapes, toys, and countertops. Some of these items will not be vacuumed, but will be sanitized using a hand-held UV-C light. These extra items will typically be charged at the rate of $60/hour.

• Additional charges may be applied for travel time if the service location is more than 15 minutes away from our location in Independence, MO.

Our Experience with Hygienitech

We are new to Hygienitech. We took some pictures and videos of us using the system to clean our own mattress. Check out the video to see how it went. Along with cleaning our mattress, we also swept and mopped the floor, dusted the room, and did a UV-C treatment on the curtains.
