"Power Words" A Christian Hymn

Stanza 1 — The Fear of the Lord and Repentance

The fear of God is wisdom's root,
The starting point of grace;
It turns the heart from evil's fruit
And seeks the Father's face.
Repentance flows from contrite souls,
A turning from our sin;
The Lord restores and makes us whole,
New life we enter in.

Stanza 2 — Spiritual Hunger and The Holy Altar

A hunger for the living bread,
A thirst for living streams;
We come to altars where we're led
And light of truth redeems.
The holy altar calls us near,
Where sacrifice is laid;
We bring our all with godly fear,
Our lives before Him laid.

Stanza 3 — Brokenness and Humility

A broken heart He will not scorn,
A humble spirit He loves;
When we are low, we are upborne
On wings like gentle doves.
Brokenness is the vessel wide
That holds the Spirit's pow'r;
In weakness, Christ is magnified
In every trying hour.

Stanza 4 — The Crucified Life and The Word of God

The crucified life is our call,
To die to self each day;
To take the cross, surrender all,
And walk the narrow way.
The Word of God is lamp and light,
A sword that pierces through;
It guides our steps through darkest night,
And makes our spirits new.

Stanza 5 — The New Covenant and Kingdom Dominion

The New Covenant in Jesus' blood,
Sealed by the Spirit's seal;
Engraved upon our hearts with love,
Its promises are real.
Dominion comes through serving Him,
Not by the world's acclaim;
The Kingdom's rule shall ne'er grow dim,
Through Jesus' holy name.

Stanza 6 — The Blood of Jesus and Resurrection Power

The blood of Jesus cleanses all,
From every stain and spot;
It answers when the accuser calls,
And frees us from our lot.
Resurrection power lifts us up,
From death to life anew;
The risen Christ fills up our cup,
And makes our faith ring true.

Stanza 7 — The Believer's Destiny and Holy Fire

Our destiny is set above,
With Christ we shall appear;
The holy fire of His love
Burns brighter year by year.
This fire consumes the dross within,
Refining like pure gold;
It purges out the love of sin,
And makes us strong and bold.

Stanza 8 — Divine Prosperity and Character

Prosperity not just of gold,
But vigor of the soul;
The treasures that we truly hold
Within us make us whole.
Character is built through trials,
Through testing we are tried;
The Lord refines us through the miles,
With Him we're satisfied.

Stanza 9 — Divine Health and Accountability

Divine health flows from God's design,
Whose ways bring life and peace;
When we obey His law divine,
Our health shall still increase.
Accountability we own,
For every word and deed;
Before the judgment seat, the throne,
We'll sow and reap the seed.

Stanza 10 — Divine Nature and Absolute Truth

Partakers of nature divine,
Through promises so grand;
By grace, His character in mine,
Is formed on every hand.
Absolute truth is found in Him,
The Rock on which we stand;
No shifting shadow, no dark whim,
Shall move us from His hand.

Stanza 11 — Revelation and Visitation

Revelation from Spirit's voice,
Unveils the hidden things;
In Him we truly can rejoice,
And spread our eagle wings.
Visitation comes from on high,
When heaven touches earth;
The veil is rent, we know the why,
And witness holy birth.

Stanza 12 — Habitation and Waiting on the Lord

Habitation, dwelling in place,
In God we live and move;
We rest within His sweet embrace,
And taste His perfect love.
We wait upon the Lord with hope,
Our strength renewed and sure;
With eagle's wings, we rise and cope,
And learn to thus endure.

Doxology (Closing)

All glory to the Lamb once slain,
Who lives and reigns above;
In Him we'll live and not in vain,
In His eternal love.
